The Institute for Outpatient Surgery, LLC (IOS) became an ambulatory surgery center on July 1, 2002. It is a joint venture with the University of Missouri Healthcare system and has 18 physician (group) owners and 47 physicians on the medical staff. Nueterra Healthcare has been the center's management company since its inception.
The elective, outpatient procedures performed at the IOS include: ENT, orthopedics, plastics, urology, general, pain management and GYN specialties.
IOS was designed to allow physicians and medical professionals to practice medicine with state-of-the-art technology in a comfortable environment.
